West Palm Beach Water Damage FAQ

My older home had a pipe burst. Is the wood floor ruined?

Not always. If drying starts quickly, some wood floors can be saved. We measure moisture in the floor and subfloor and tell you honestly what can be dried and what needs replacing.

How fast can mold grow after water damage?

Mold can begin growing on wet materials within 24 to 48 hours in South Florida humidity, so drying should start as soon as possible.

Will insurance cover it?

Many policies cover sudden water damage like a burst pipe. Long-term leaks and outside flood water are often treated differently. Report the loss promptly. We document everything and can work with your adjuster.

Everything is dry, but the house still smells. What now?

First, let us take another look. A smell that hangs on can mean moisture was missed, especially under old wood floors and in wall framing, so we start with a free visual inspection with moisture readings and an infrared (thermal) camera. If everything checks out dry, our whole-home odor treatment is $997, including one AC system ($550 per extra AC unit) and an attached garage. Plan to be out about 8 hours. It treats odor only, so any moisture or mold has to be fixed first. In a condo, a single unit is priced like a house; hallways and common areas need a different type of treatment, so call us.
