Our Story
FL Cleanup was founded in 2016 by James Rice-Peña, who has worked in property restoration in South Florida since 2012. The goal from day one was simple: give people honest answers, real communication and work done right, without overcharging or pushing services they don’t need. The company was built without loans or outside investors, and it is still family-owned and run, not a franchise.
Since then, our team has handled more than 5,000 water damage jobs, along with mold, fire, storm and odor work for homeowners, property managers and commercial buildings.
Our Team
When you call FL Cleanup, you talk to our own people, not a call center. Our technicians do the drying, mold remediation and cleanup work themselves, and our office team keeps you updated from the first call to the final walkthrough. - Mold: inspection, testing and remediation by licensed mold professionals.
- Fire, smoke and storm damage: cleanup and restoration after fires, hurricanes and roof leaks.

Every job starts with a free visual inspection with moisture readings and an infrared (thermal) camera. Lab testing is separate if it’s needed.
Commercial and Large Loss Work
FL Cleanup is enrolled as a vendor with Miami-Dade County for large losses and works with condo associations, property managers, hotels, offices and healthcare facilities. Where We Work
Our office is in the Kendall area of Miami. We serve Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, and also take jobs on the Treasure Coast, in Central Florida, Tampa Bay and the Florida Keys. We answer 24/7; when you call, we’ll tell you honestly when a technician can be there based on that day’s schedule.
